From auditing public finances to building equal opportunity: I help women and companies turn good intentions into real progress.

 

I began my career as an auditor at the Romanian National Court of Audit. In 2003, I moved to Switzerland as a trailing spouse. After brushing up my French, I quickly realized that language was only one of many barriers to entering the Swiss job market. I was often advised to build a network. It was good advice, but how do you do that as a newcomer ? Starting a new career is demanding work that calls for introspection and strategic thinking.

 

Through my different work experiences with women’ associations, I learnt about the challenges women face on the Swiss job market, and after five years in the management of a company specializing in career counseling, I gained further insight into the specific challenges that make it difficult for women to access the job market and to progress their careers.

I wanted solutions, so I went looking for the root causes of the barriers women face. What I found is that gender stereotypes in career aspirations lie at the root of horizontal occupational segregation in our country. In 2018, I founded MOD-ELLE, an association that tackles these stereotypes by bringing role models into classrooms, so that young people can imagine a wider range of careers.

Over the years my wish grew ever stronger to help advance women careers. With EOS Consulting I help women turn their career aspirations into concrete actions, whether they are starting out, rethinking their path or launching their own project.​​ Trained at the University of Cambridge and shaped by years of work on gender equality, I also help companies build DEI strategies that are credible, practical and measurable.​

I work on both ends of the same story: through MOD-ELLE, I challenge gender stereotypes in classrooms, and through EOS Consulting, I help women grow their careers and organisations build the workplaces where women can thrive and lead.

A regular keynote speaker and host, I was nominated in 2022 among the 100 most influential personalities in French-speaking Switzerland within the "Forum des 100".
